Ghala works through youth cooperatives to test circular business models and connect with value-adding technologies and financing.
This is managed through Ghala Access, a platform that plans cash flow for youth producer groups, linking them with bulk buyers and financing for solar drying, irrigation and packaging

How we work
Ghala Means "Granary" in Swahili - symbolising our mission to create a regenerative capital basket by maximizing waste synergies between value chains
Ghala works with local universities and research institutions to test new circular business cases and build youth readiness for trade and export. This is done through the Ghala Circular Trade Hub.
Our current focus is on commercializing Apiary-Agroforestry, Poultry-aquaculture, and Cassava-Mushroom synergies in the sub regions of Teso, Lango and Bukedi
Ghala helps youths to maximize cash flow and invest in strategic assets for value addition such as; solar drying, packaging and processing equipment.
Ugandan youth are highly entreprenuerial, but a disconnect of innovators and credit insitutions from local producers leaves the youths unable to deploy modern technologies for growth. We are changing that with the Ghala Access
